On Tuesday Bihar’s Jan Adhikar Party President Pappu Yadav tweeted a letter from Home Minister Amit Shah as a result of his call for an inquiry into the death of Actor Sushant Singsh Rajput from the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
In his note, Shah recalled the plea of Yadav for the CBI investigation into the suicide case of the 34-year-old actor.
The letter says that on 16 June 2020, the request from Yadav was received. He also mentioned that since the CBI is subject to DoPT, the letter of Yadav is sent to the ministry concerned.
Yadav, however, called for urgent action in his tweet to Shah.
“Amit Shah ji, if you want, a CBI inquiry can be initiated into Sushant’s case in a minute. Do not avoid it! A letter was sent to the Union Home Minister seeking a CBI inquiry into the suspicious death of film actor Sushant Singh Rajput, the pride of Bihar. He has forwarded the letter to the concerned ministry for action,” Yadav said in his tweet.
The police in Mumbai have reported statements in the case from about 35 people, including Rhea Chakraborty, the late actor’s alleged girlfriend. In addition to the casting director Shaanu Sharma and filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali, casting director Mukesh Chhabra made his film debut in Sushant’s forthcoming final movie ‘Dil Bechara,’ and actress Sanjana Sanghi was also grilled.
